To Hell With Good Intentions is probably my favourite of the three tracks on the single. It just has everything I was going for when I started the band, a big fat bass sound, less than 2 minutes long, cool turnaround and cod-profound lyrics.
To Hell With Good Intentions was recorded partially in Jonah's attic, partially in Svens attic and partially in Philip's bathroom.
Fun fact: After 5 weeks of no practice due to lockdown I had to listen back to remember the lyrics. This song always had too many words.
lyrics
Makes me wanna steal a car and punch somebody in the face
We all got our problems but this ain't the time and it ain't the place
I'm out of it as a proper response to confusing my needs and wants
I never meant for this to happen, baby, it ain't my fauly
We're selling ourselves short
We can all be so much more
We're dragging each other down
To Hell with good intentions
You're a cut price version of yourself, It's time to try something new
This square peg don't fit it's round hole so what do you want to do?
For all our education, our sophisticated airs
We just traded the coal mines for an office chair
We're selling ourselves short
We can all be so much more
We're dragging each other down
To Hell with good intentions
